A fascinating project: London-based product designer Oscar Lhermitte has collaborated with design studio Kudu to produce a topographically accurate lunar globe that turns along with the phases of the moon.
MOON has been created at a 1:20 million scale, with data from NASA to reveal all of the moon’s craters, mountains and ridges in precise detail. It also has a ring of LED lights (like the sun) that revolves around the globe, illuminating the correct face of the moon and recreating the lunar phases as seen from Earth.
