This is so amusing! A tutorial to make your very own disco ball helmet! Although it will probably prove to be distracting to other drivers, it still is sooo cool.

I discovered the enchanting work of book designer Coralie Pickford-Smith recently.
The above selection is the exquisite series for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book covers for Penguin Classics, one of the many beautiful series she created, drawing inspiration from the Art Deco period, combined with metallic foil printing on matt paper.
Wow! A chair made from a genuine Boeing 737 engine. This is the 737 Cowling Chair by UK-based furniture design company Fallen Furniture. With a matching aluminum swiveling base and a black-leather upholstered interior, it reminds me of the funky Ball Chair by Eero Saarinen.
Also check out the Fuselage Wall Art, while other products with aircraft parts include: an Airbus A300 window clock, an Airbus A320 escape hatch table, a Boeing 747 wheel table, an exhaust lamp and a R.A.F. cluster bomb drinks cabinet!

This wallpaper is a classic: Michael Clark designed this, now iconic, wallpaper pattern, in 1959. Originally designed as a screen print, the Woods wallpaper pattern features bold sketches of trees making a unique forest repeat.
This is actually going to be our wallpaper for one of the walls of the girls’ room. I was surprised they actually liked something like this, maybe because of its “fairytale” appeal, but I am quite happy they chose it because I think it’s timeless (also, no changing wallpapers again for at least 5 years).
I have posted about Japanese studio Nendo before. Everything they design is fabulous and their products range from chocolates, furniture, stationery and now …pet accessories. Well, actually they are for dogs, but I would’t mind having them for my cat also.
The Cubic Pet Goods is an elegant pet-friendly collection designed for both the dog’s and the owner’s needs. The line consists of a dog house, soft toy, a line of ceramic bowls, and a ball. And some of them have a double function. Smart.

Tabisso’s product range TYPOGRAPHIA is a unique collection of typographic lounge-chairs representing all letters from A-Z and numbers from 0-9, completed by a set of floor lamps with 25 punctuation marks.
I just saw these in a magazine and was wondering why didn’t anyone think of this before? The typographic lounge-chairs are probably too much for home decoration, but I find them a perfect touch for company lobbies or office space and showrooms.
In the other hand it would be fun for the girls to have 3 chairs with their initials: C, M & D. And an asterisk lamp would not be bad either.
Can you imagine real dandelions emitting light?
Fragile Future III by Studio Drift is a modular system combining nature and technology. The three-dimensional bronze electrical circuits contain luminous dandelion seed heads and bolt together to form a power circuit overgrowing walls, floors and ceilings, forming sculptures and chandeliers.
Very delicate and beautiful result.
I am in love with a pop-up book!
ABC 3D is created by French graphic designer Marion Bataille, also author of 10, Numero and Livre de Lettres. Actually, I just love all her books: the colors, the clever pop-ups that make one letter dissolve into another… Brilliant!
Also another fun version of the above video, but with a special ABC3D song (created by the band “Not Waving But Drowning”) inspired by the book.
Amazing rising furniture by designer Robert van Embricqs from the Netherlands.
Brilliant use of the clear plastic cut-out on this pasta packaging concept. Designed by Moscow-based company Nikita, hopefully it will find its way on a real pasta packaging application.
