A nice quote hand lettered by Dutch illustrator Marloes de Vries for the 2015 calendar of Flow magazine.

I have the impression this artist’s work is suddenly popping out everywhere. This is a collage called “Natural History Museum” by artist and filmmaker Eugenia Loli, a Greek by origin, now based in California.
By the way, you can buy art prints here.
Many cool patterns to be found on this website called Pattern Library, which you can also download and use freely. This is a project by Tim Holman & Claudio Guglieri, an on-going collection of patterns shared by talented designers.
If you also have a great pattern you want to share, you can send it to them and they will add it to the collection.
A calendar from illustrator Mary Kate McDevitt, full with hand-lettered coffee phrases. Although it is almost the end of the month, I love that it covers from September 2015 until the end of 2016 (bonus 4 months), because for me the new year always starts in September!
This is from a few years ago, but it is so adorable I had to share it here. My favorite children’s book illustrator Oliver Jeffers teaches us how to draw a penguin.
Austrian designer Albert Exergian loves posters, modernism and television. He successfully combined the three in this self-initiated series of posters for iconic TV series. I love the use of one minimalist element in each one. Good to know, prints are available here.

I love these absurd and humorous drawings by Marc Johns. “Finding the humour in things often leads to finding the truth” he says, true I say… They are all original ink and watercolor artworks sold in his shop, by the way.
There is so much color and beauty in nature and artist Christopher Marley captures it fully in the book “Biophilia”, (literally “love of life”). Inside you can find a collection of his artwork, where he patiently arranges insects, urchins or marine creatures in mosaics or other prismatic patterns, highlighting the exquisite design found everywhere in the natural world. Apparently you can order these amazing artworks online.

Yes, this is another post about my favorite lettering artist Mary Kate McDevitt. She decided to start a 100 day project, creating and posting almost every day, whimsical illustrations of the relationships of people and their pets. She is now on Day 067, but you can see all of them in her Instagram feed.
There is also an interesting interview with Kate in the audio podcast by “The Jealous Curator”.
“Little Bunny Big World” features a miniature rabbit with his friends and their adventures in our crazy big world. Singapore-based Kitt Santos started his project, using his own experiences and observations to bring the character to life, often making fun of my own shortcomings and little achievements.
An interesting thing is that most of his drawings are done on the train on his way to work, using just an iPad and an app called Paper. Wow!
